The African Development Bank (the Bank), through the Sustainable Energy Fund for Africa (SEFA), seeks a consulting firm to support WEZA Power Burundi in the development of Environmental and Social (E&S) studies in connection with a Public Private Partnership (PPP) with the Government of Burundi to accelerate the country’s electrification through the refurbishment, expansion and densification of the national electricity distribution network.

The assignment will deliver environmental and social studies under the WEZA Power national electrification programme, including all related safeguard instruments (ESIAs/ESMPs, Biodiversity Management/Action Plans, Resettlement Action Plans/Livelihood Restoration Plans, Indigenous/Vulnerable Peoples Plans and Stakeholder Engagement Plans) aligned with the risk profile of each sub-project and with the standards of the IFC and the AfDB.
