Under the general guidance and supervision of the Director, Regional Integration Coordination Office (RDRI), in close collaboration with the regional integration officer, the regional Communication Officer, Southern Africa, the Consultant’s role will include, but not be limited to:

Develop and implement a comprehensive multimedia content plan to document and promote the impact of RDRI’s regional integration projects and initiatives — including trade facilitation, infrastructure, and cross-border cooperation programs — across Southern Africa and the continent.

Conduct fieldwork and project site visits to capture high-quality photographs, video footage, and in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, including beneficiaries, government counterparts, Regional Economic Communities (RECs), the African Union, the AfCFTA Secretariat, and project implementation units.

Produce short- and long-form video content, including project impact stories and coverage of events and dialogues, covering scripting, filming, creative direction, post-production/editing, audio mastering, subtitling, format exporting, and adaptation into multiple languages, in line with the Bank’s production standards.

Provide editorial support, including well-researched content such as press releases, media advisories, feature stories, Q&As, blogs, web stories, and project impact stories highlighting the results of the Bank’s regional integration work for the Bank’s website and external media.

Repurpose and adapt existing content (reports, studies, speeches, and event proceedings) into compelling narratives for social media, the Bank’s website, and the Integrate Africa Magazine.

Produce well-captioned photos from project visits, missions, and high-level events for use across the Bank’s communication channels.

Design visually engaging graphics, infographics, and layouts — including social media visuals, web banners, and presentation materials— to translate data, research, and project results into accessible visual content.

Support the planning, coverage, and content production for the annual Integrate Africa Forum and other RDRI-led convenings and policy dialogues with the AU, RECs, and the AfCFTA Secretariat.

Produce podcasts and audio content profiling regional integration projects, champions, and policy developments, as required.

Support RDRI and the Southern Africa Regional Hub with consistent, high-quality social media content and audience engagement.

Maintain an organised, well-labelled archive of raw and edited multimedia assets in line with the Bank’s content management standards.

Carry out other communication-related assignments as requested by the Bank’s regional communication officer.
