The Department of Agriculture & Agro-industry (AHAI) of the African Development Bank in collaboration with the Department of Human Capital Development (AHHD2) intends to prepare a Regional Agricultural Trade Facilitation and Skills Development Programme in alignment with the Banks Ten-year Strategy, the Regional Integration Strategy, Feed Africa Strategy, Gender Strategy, Jobs for Youth Strategy and cardinal points three and four on harnessing demographic transformation and building climate resilient infrastructure, respectively. The programme will be designed to facilitate food security, inclusive economic growth, and resilience through increased regional agricultural trade and market integration in the COMESA Region by (i) Enhancing agricultural-produce competitiveness and regional trade; (ii) Infrastructure development for regional trade facilitation; and (iii) Skills development and capacity building.
