An Individual Consultant/Transport Engineer with broad understanding of the principles of the project cycle with at least eight (8) years of experience in result-based project management, sound knowledge of the transport sector in the Kenya and Somalia, and with proven ability to work on policy, institutional and financing aspects of transport projects. The Consultant is required to assist in delivering on the transport portfolio work of the African Development Bank (AfDB)’s Eastern Africa Regional Development and Business Delivery Office (RDGE) in the East African Region, including infrastructure construction and maintenance, contract management and procurement, planning and programming of capital and maintenance works. The tasks involve assistance to the Regional Sector Manager to ensure active management and coordination of the Bank’s activities and transport sector portfolio in Kenya and Somalia in collaboration with other Bank’s fiduciary departments, and the Government.
