Objectives:

The practitioner shall conduct a review of the PFSs under International Standard on Review Engagements (ISRE) 2400 (Revised), primarily using inquiries and analytical procedures, to determine whether anything has come to the practitioner’s attention that causes them to believe the financial statements are not prepared, in all material respects, in accordance with the applicable financial reporting framework.

The practitioner shall form and communicate a conclusion on the financial statements as a whole in negative-assurance form, rather than a reasonable-assurance audit opinion, and obtain limited assurance about the accounting records, transaction documentation and financial control arrangements underpinning the PFSs.
