The Macroeconomic Policy, Debt Sustainability and Forecasting Division (ECMR.1) is responsible for the production and dissemination of the Bank’s flagship publications – the African Economic Outlook (AEO) and the Macroeconomic Performance and Outlook (MEO) Reports – as well as other knowledge products on Africa’s emerging macroeconomic and development issues, and on the Bank’s priority areas. 

To that effect, ECMR.1 seeks to recruit a Senior Consultant to contribute to the research, empirical analysis and drafting of Chapter 2 of the 2027 AEO. ECMR.1 will lead and coordinate the chapter’s preparation, with contributions from the Human Capital, Youth and Skills Development Department (AHHD) and other relevant Bank departments and teams. The Consultant will work under the overall guidance of the Director, Macroeconomic Policy, Forecasting and Research Department (ECMR), and the direct supervision of the Division Manager, ECMR.1, and the Chapter 2 Task Managers.
