Consultancy services to provide technical services to support implementation of the Multinational Project - Mainstreaming Natural Capital in Africa Development Finance (NC4-ADF II) Phase 2.

Africa’s natural capital, including land, forests, water, minerals, biodiversity, fisheries, and ecosystem services, remains central to economic productivity, livelihoods improvement, climate resilience and long-term fiscal sustainability. However, this natural wealth is often undervalued, poorly measured or excluded from national accounts, public investment decisions, fiscal planning, sovereign risk analysis and development finance frameworks setting. As a result, the contribution of natural assets to economic performance, climate adaptation, food and water security, biodiversity conservation and livelihoods improvement is not adequately reflected in policy and financing decisions. The immediate problem addressed by the NC4-ADF II project is the weak enabling environment for systematically valuing natural capital and using that evidence in policy and financial decision-making.
