The services to be provided under the Assignmentinclude the assistance to Zanzibar FBS (ZFBS) Team throughout the process of establishing a robust and sustainable ZFBS compilation system, and producing a comprehensive report on FBS results for the most recent reference years, using the required standard methodology.

New Guidelines on Food Balance Sheets compilation which provide countries with a user-friendly handbook on the construction of country-level FBS for policy-making and analysis is available. Some innovations have been made in this handbook in terms of approaches and the estimations of the variables. Apart from these guidelines, a new standard FBS Compilation Tool has been developed. This Tool facilitates the imputation of missing values, production of FBS results, including the computation of derived indicators, but needs to be adapted to each country context and specificities. Other related tools have been also developed to facilitate FBS basic data processing, and results formatting.
