As part of the WE Finance Code initiative, the African Development Bank Group (the Bank), through its AFAWA initiative, has developed a targeted project to support central banks in five regional member countries, including Kenya, in the design and implementation of sex disaggregated data frameworks. The objective is to improve the availability and use of such data to foster the financial inclusion of WSMEs and advance the objectives of the WE Finance Code.
The overall objective of this assignment is to support effective WE Finance Code implementation, particularly by enhancing the availability and use of SDD to advance WSMEs’ access to finance in Kenya. This will be done by improving the sex-disaggregated data collection national frameworks and infrastructure to improve the collection, reporting, analysis, and use of supply-side data in support of WSME’s access to finance.
