Job Description:
Our client is in need of an experienced Exploration Geologist with a background in placer and alluvial gold and diamond deposit exploration to join their team on site in West Africa.
Responsibilities:
Carry out exploration work (Geological mapping, trenching, sampling etc.).
Assist with the generation of regional exploration targets and fully assess potential opportunities.
Mineral resource and mineral reserve estimation
Communicate results of work clearly.
Ensuring best practice procedures and operations are in place and maintained through the exploration function.
Exploration work plans and budgets.
Weekly reports
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
Geosciences degree.
5 years’ experience in gold and diamond exploration in placer / alluvial deposits.
Able to work independently as well as in a team.
Previous expatriate experience in Africa.
Contractual information:
Residential contract on single status.
2 leave breaks with trips home provided per year.
2 year renewable contract.
