Job Description:
The HR & Payroll Officer will be responsible for the structure and maintainance of an operational and transactional HR & Payroll office, that focuses on service excellence and quality. The role will include dealing with CCMA related duties and is an opportunity for a self-starter who is passionate about HR & Payroll processes and secondly, about creating and maintaining efficient structures and administrative processes.
 
Responsibilities:
Dealing with timesheets till payment procedure
Ensure that all new joiners documents are submitted to payroll timeously and that the personnel files are up to date
Overtime approval and pay outs
Creating payslips to branches
Dealing with salary increases and employee queries regarding salaries
Administration, reconciliation, and record keeping of sick, compassionate, and annual leave
Follow up on pending CCMA cases – due dates, obtain information and prepare paperwork relating to active cases
Representing the company at CCMA hearings 
Advise line management on certain IR related matters
Attend to disciplinary and grievance hearings and ensures that procedures are followed
 
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
Relevant Degree in Social Science/Human Resources/Industrial Psychology/Technology
At least 3 years’ experience in Payroll and general HR services
Experience with CCMA representations and CCMA related document preparation (not negotiable) 
Experience working with SAGE
Proficient in the relevant HR & Payroll Legislature
Knowledge of Labour law & BCEA
Knowledge of Disciplinary actions. Such as hearings, warnings (notices), grievances and counselling’s
Experience with commission payments
Previous experience managing payroll services for a staff compliment of 50+ including contract staff
