The African Development Bank Group (AfDB) was established in 1964 as the premier pan African development finance institution dedicated to promoting economic growth and social progress across the continent. The Bank comprises 81 member countries, including 54 Regional Member Countries (RMCs) in Africa.
Over the past decade, the Bank has operationalized its development strategy through the High 5 priorities: Light Up and Power Africa; Feed Africa; Industrialize Africa; Integrate Africa; and Improve the Quality of Life for the People of Africa.
Building on this foundation, the current leadership of the Bank has articulated four strategic cardinal priorities aimed at strengthening the institution’s effectiveness and development impact.
