EAPP Regional Masterplan was last updated in 2014 and now requires an urgent update to reflect the output of the Africa Continental Master Plan (CMP), define the member states energy transition plans and align the national and regional plans to the AU Agenda 2063 targets as well as the UN Sustainable Development Goals SDGs. The development of the EAPP Masterplan will include the following: -
Aiding in long term energy planning using the SPLAT Africa models developed during the CMP
Twinning arrangements with other Power Pools for knowledge transfer and cross reference of the modelling result.
