The African Development Bank (AfDB) is implementing its Gender Strategy (2021-2025 (extended to 2026), aimed at reducing gender inequality and empowering women to actively participate in the Bank’s High 5 priority areas. The strategy addresses cross-cutting challenges around access to finance, markets, skills, infrastructure, and the design of gender-responsive policies. To this end, the Bank seeks to recruit a Gender Consultant to provide timely gender mainstreaming support across the project cycle (identification, preparation, appraisal, and implementation), contribute to gender mainstreaming in Country Strategy Papers, and support knowledge building for stronger gender results.
