The objective of the consultancy is to improve the availability and quality of data to support African countries’ ability to make informed energy policies and provide private investors with valuable market analysis. Specifically, the consultant will:

Develop a continental Power Utility Database Management System (DBMS).

Put in place tools and procedures to enhance and complement data collection across utilities.

Develop an APUA data dissemination platform integrated into the APUA website.

Build the capacity of APUA and its member utilities for effective system use.

Ensure the transfer of existing UPBEAT database into the DBMS in collaboration with APUA and the World Bank.
