Working closely with and reporting to the CEO, the person in this role will lead the organization of CherishClub’s activities, from project conception and proposal writing, to setting up processes for effective delivery of projects to our clients locally in Benin and internationally.
This role is for:
•Individuals who are structured and can setup simple and clear processes to facilitate proposal writing and work delivery timely and effectively
•A mature and dedicated individual who is results-oriented, strives in starting new initiatives, working with limited supervision, and thinks fast on their feet to find solutions to any challenges that he/she faces on the job without needing a heavy involvement from their manager
•Self-starters who can get a lot done with minimum resources
The ideal candidate must be a trustworthy person who handles confidential business information with tact.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Good business development coordinators shape the projects they work on from the onset. They understand clients’ potential needs and engage with them to shape business opportunities that translate into programs.
The primary role of the Project & Business Development Coordinator will involve researching project opportunities to bid to, design impactful proposals to win new projects, and lead the delivery of those projects.
He/she may actively engage with organizations to build new business relationships that translate into concrete business outcomes and new projects.
This is a programmatic role, appropriate for individuals who come with hands on experience in bidding for- and winning new projects and are eager to learn and grow both personally and professionally.
Key work includes, in order of priority:
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
•Research and prepare proposals to respond to calls for tenders from international organizations, the local private sector, and the government.
•Proactively identify organizations that could benefit from CherishClub's services, secure meetings with the leaders of these organizations, and pitch CherishClub's services to them.
•Conduct formal and informal follow-ups with institutional clients to transform CherishClub presentation meetings into concrete deals that increase the company's activities.
•Constantly seek to improve and adapt our services and presentations to the needs of the organizations we approach.
PROGRAM DELIVERY
•Assist in conceiving and delivering online and in person training programs to clients (individuals and organizations) – this include innovative training frameworks on productivity and wellbeing for professionals, and especially parents and mothers
•Ensure clients onboarding for successful training and coaching program outcomes
•Delivery of training services to clients – Including preparation of training and coaching materials, and delivery of training sessions
•Monitor customer feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
STRATEGIC COMMUNICATION TO EXPAND OUR REACH
•Design intervention tracking metrics and consolidate client feedback into compelling presentations and visuals to communicate the impact of our interventions and attract more clients.
•Design impactful letters and presentations for B2B meetings.
•Design elements that strengthen the company's brand image.
Representation of the CEO
•Attend meetings as directed by the CEO, on her behalf, with stakeholders or for client meetings
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
•Experience working in a business analyst role, business development, project development, program management, or similar
•Maturity to represent the CEO, as needed, in external stakeholders' and clients meetings
•Mastery of Microsoft office tools (Word, PPT, Excel)
•Bachelor (or Masters’) degree (in business, administration, economics, behavioral science, or related field) with minimum 5 years of experience
•Knowledge of graphic design and video tools such as Canva, capcut, etc., a plus
•Experience with marketing is a plus
