Key responsibilities
• Design Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs) for CHB Execution in compliance with local customs regulations and conduct regular SOP
review
• In Conjunction with Customer Experience Manager and HR Business Partner conduct recruitment of CHB Team
• Build an effective and highly engaged team through coaching, training and regular connect sessions
• Ensure team deliver timely and accurate completion of all Import and Export declarations and Transit movements
• Ensure team deliver timely and accurate execution of all financial activities relevant to CHB
• Ensure all Customer needs are met or exceeded, within our Compliance Controls
• Responsible for monitoring and load balancing workload, highlighting any risk to Head of Customs
• Procurement of 3rd party Customs Broker where necessary and establish clear SLAs
• Collate, analyze and present data reports to Management, Customer, Internal Stakeholders, Compliance and Implementation Teams
• Ensure that work carried out complies with standard as defined in the operating Manuals
• Ensure the Quality Assurance Procedures are up to date and clearly reflect current working practices. (ISO)
• Identify waste in processes, continuously driving and delivering improvements which will positively impact productivity levels and enhance customers' experience
• Maintain a first class business relationship with all customers and internal stakeholders
• Develop Customs product to expand portfolio, market footprint and generation of additional revenue
We are looking for
• Min. of 5 years experience within Customs Brokerage with in-depth knowledge of Customs Clearance in the country
• Knowledgeable about Customs regulations and systems
• Very organized, proactive and dynamic
• Coaching and people development capabilities
• Stakeholders' management and Excellent communication skills
