We are looking for a dynamic and result driven Sales representative to join the Senegal Safmarine Sales team and be based in our Dakar office. You will manage existing customer relationships and performance, focus on growth in targeted areas, secure new customers as well as play an important trade focal role with key NWA stakeholders.

Key responsibilities
·   Manage assigned customers and budget base, pursue and secure new business in line with the corporate and regional objectives for the Sales Channel. 
·   Develop customer value propositions for all appropriate business opportunities. Strive for consultative sales to distinguish market presence by effectively probing and identifying needs and suggesting solutions to help customers. 
·   Build a good understanding of target customers and the assigned account base (contact, commodities, trade lanes, type of business, contract information including exceptions and service requirements).
·   Establish internal network by closely working with stakeholders to ensure sufficient focus and prioritization to Safmarine business.
·   Understand the market, customers behaviors as well as the industry characteristics and competitive environment. 
·   Consistently research and analyze competitive and industry trends to recommend appropriate measures.
·   Ensure Customer Relationship Management tools are updated on time and with high-quality data. 

We are looking for
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and French (both written and oral).
Enthusiasm, strong work ethic and integrity
Sales experience is a plus
A proactive, self-starter person who can work alone and within a close knit team.  
A great team player
Strong organizational and time management skills including ability to plan work efficiently to meet deadlines.

In addition, you should possess a good knowledge of web-based software and have a good execution of the sales process & management tools.
