As iBMS (integrated buildings management system) consultant you will be responsible for
Providing technical related consultancy and systems engineering in the field of building automation, building management systems, and energy management & analytics.
The role will be responsible for delivering projects and services to Orange business’ clients in order to successfully fulfil the Scope of Work (SoW) agreed.
You will also have a focus on reducing operational carbon and the sustainable footprint of buildings, as well as help drive and create an open data ecosystem in buildings
The iBMS consultants represents Orange Business in delivering services to our clients and when working with industry partners and suppliers, so will maintain the highest standards of technical and professional performance and conduct themself with honesty and integrity at all times.
Among your duties as enterprise data architect, you will:
Research and validate technical capabilities of smart building technologies (building control systems, building analytic platforms, energy consumption and sustainability management, etc.).
assume responsibility for project design deliverables and ensuring desired technical standards are met
Coordinate technical design solutions with client stakeholders, design teams, vendors
provide technical leadership and direction for subcontractors and vendors.
translate business requirements and use cases into functional requirements.
You should enjoy proactively sharing ideas and recommendation for improving client practices and work in a collaborative fashion. You must thrive in a non-hierarchical, multinational, across geographies and timelines working environment where you would leverage network of experts experts in alignment with your client objectives.
This role is a customer facing role and you should have very good presentation and writing skills. These skills should be complemented by solid negotiation skills, stakeholder management, time management and stakeholder management skills.

Knowledge and abilities
Professional experience around building systems integration with a keen interest in the Intelligent Building industry and technology driven building sustainability.
Professional knowledge over the design principles of typical building technology systems such as HVAC controls, building management system (BMS), lighting controls, energy metering, AV, CCTV, access controls and security technologies
Advanced design knowledge of existing and emerging building controls languages & protocols (MQTT, BACnet, Modbus) with ability to consult on integration approache
Working knowledge of naming schemas and ontologies for use within smart buildings
Experience developing detailed Master Systems Integrator specifications
Good systems knowledge (e.g. Tridium, Niagara) gained through industry work experience, as a contractor or systems integrator or in a similar consultancy role.
Working knowledge of TCP/IP and wireless networking and communication standards
Working knowledge and technical capacity for developing cloud hosted managed service designs for bi-directional communications between applications and devices including API’s
Experience with Construction Projects and Contracting
Clear client focus; able to build credibility quickly with team members and clients alike
Education, qualifications, and certifications
Degree in industrial engineering, computer science or equivalent relevant experience with a demonstrable commitment to self-development
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in business application, electrical engineering, automation, and IOT technologies.
