Plan International Cameroon is currently advertising for the following position of 20 Fields Agents for the cash base Transfer in project – Bertoua (Lolo, Timangolo, Gari Singho and Mbile)
Please note that this is a local contract.
Purpose:
These project are about providing support to Refugees through Cash base Transfer (CBT) and MPCT programs which aim at providing cash to beneficiaries so as to enable them acquire diversified food with sufficient nutriment according to local consumption habit and have access to their basic need. This program will be implemented with financial support of Word Food Program, UNICEF, UNHCR and Plan CANADA.
The project’s falls into CP 25 and 27 related health and protection activities.
Dimensions of Role:
These projects will be implemented in the East region targeting about 29,475 beneficiaries in refugees’ sites in Kadey and Lom and Djerem divisions in the East region, 5190 IDPs in North West and South West, 11050 Returnees in Far north, 1300 Refugees in North and
25 People are needed for the position as temporary staff to fill the gap in Mbile , Gado , Buea and Bamenda , Mbile, Garoua Boulai,Touboro and Kette.
Typical Responsibilities - Key End Results of Position:
The Field Agent will among many other tasks perform the following:
Ensure all logistics and related activities are prepared accordingly and submit monthly and bi-weekly plans
Ensure effective and efficient distribution of cash transfer to beneficiaries.
Ensure and organize door to door sensitization on ENA(Essential Nutrition Actions) with emphasis on food diversification in the household and distribution of food taking into consideration the specific need of vulnerable people(Children and women) and promote good hygiene and sanitation practices.
Ensure and organize home visit to follow up and ensure that all the purpose of the complaint mechanism is being achieved and enabling decision-making on the project progression and development.
Draft regular implementation plan for project reports and assist in the preparation of project monthly reports.
Ensure transfer of fund, track and reporting all projects related activities.
Contribute to projects assessment and operations in implementing zones
Elaborate and submit monthly reports on achievement
Dealing with Problems:
The holder of the position has no authorization and will liaise with PU’s finance and Administrative department for all related finance and administrative procedures under the leadership of PUM. But his proactveness will be key in planning and implementation of activities in the field.
Communications and Working Relationships:
The Field Agent should maintain a good collaboration and communication with beneficiaries, complain committee as well as with other actors in the zone.
Knowledge, Skills, Behaviors, and Experience Required to Achieve Role’s Objectives:
State Register Nurse or related courses / household economy
Minimum of 6 months’ work experience in humanitarian response
Experience of working in zones where security issues is a concern
Experience in community mobilization and sensitization
Extensive knowledge of emergency nutrition, education health and watsan work
Holder of an advance level certificate
Ability to speak, read and write French or English , speak Fulfulde, Haoussa, Baya or Pidgeon English fluently depending the project’s location and proven ability and willingness to learn other local languages
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft office including words, excel, internet etc).
Physical Environment and Demands:
Ability to work under pressure and in remote area and in zones were security issues is a concern.

Mid contact: Frequent interaction with children
