The Opportunity
As the Project Manager you will lead the overall timely and qualitative implementation of an ECHO funded Education in Emergencies (EiE) program in 3 Local Government Areas (LGAs) (Pulka, Dikaw, Gwoza) in North- East Nigeria. This role involves you spending 70% of your time in the 3 field locations and will supervise the ECHO project team to successfully implement the program for Plan International.
 
The Person
In order to exceed in this important and exciting role you will need a degree or similar in Development Studies, Project Management, or International development. Demonstrable experience in the INGO sector with work in project management in emergency responses, particularly education in emergencies. Strong knowledge of ECHO requirement is necessary.
Strong understanding of humanitarian crisis and the context of North- East Nigeria. Ability to travel within the North East Nigeria for at least 70% of the time. 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English including excellent facilitation skills and demonstrated technical writing skills for publication. 
 
 
Location: Maiduguri, Nigeria with regular travel to: Gwoza, Pulka, Dikwa  (this is a mandatory unnaccompanied location)
Type of Role: 1 Year Fixed Term Contract
Reports to: Education in Emergencies - Technical Specialist
Salary: circa US$48,000
